Brilliant minds are choosing your campus.
But are they staying?
College campuses are more diverse than ever. Yet despite investments in DEI training and good intentions, marginalized students keep telling us the same thing: they don't feel like they truly belong.
Does this sound familiar?
Check all that apply
The usual approach isn't working!

One-off training sessions that don't create lasting change
Theoretical frameworks without practical application
Generic solutions that ignore your people's natural talents
Your campus needs something different. Something that transforms good intentions into real belonging.

The Value of Belonging on Your Campus
Diverse campuses need distinct solutions that prioritize belonging and growth for everyone.
Marginalized students feel less as though they matter to the institution compared with non-marginalized peers.
Most DEI trainings only focus on defining terms, and providing historical context while appealing to the need for change.
Campuses that fail to address systemic inequalities ultimately see less connection to the institution from marginalized students, and ultimately a failure to persist.
Institutions that prioritize belonging attract the most brilliant students...and retain them!

About Shanell
As a career educator with nearly two decades in California higher education, I've lived this work from every angle — student, faculty member, classified employee, supervisor, student developer, and facilitator. My M.S. in Counseling and experience across community colleges and the CSU system taught me something fundamental: students thrive when they're supported by institutions genuinely committed to belonging and served by people equipped to use their natural talents. This isn’t just theory, it’s proven reality.
As a Gallup-trained facilitator and experienced educator, I've developed something unique: a framework that combines Strengths-based philosophy with anti-oppression work in a way that actually sticks. I put my experience as a developer and career educator to work in creating Equity Amplifier because I believe that equipping people to use their natural talents transforms entire campus cultures.
