ANTI-OPPRESSION FRAMEWORK™
What if Everyone Belonged?
Not just in mission statements, but in every interaction.
Every staff member.
Every student.
Every day.
Brilliant minds are choosing your campus.
But are they staying?
College campuses are more diverse than ever. Yet despite routine round tables, training days and in-services, marginalized students keep telling us the same thing: they don't feel like they truly belong.
Does this sound familiar?
Check all that apply
You respond to the pressure to do something around equity with a stand-alone training that looks exciting and impactful
A trainer comes and provides definitions to term we should know and makes an appeal for changed behaviors
The training ends leaving participants with renewed energy and commitment, but no direction and no impact to broader campus spheres or communities
The box is checked: Transaction, NOT Transformation
The room is filled with the usual suspects who care about the work and are interested in learning something new AND the peanut gallery who wants to challenge information shared
The usual approach isn't working!
One-off training sessions that don't create lasting change
Theoretical frameworks without practical application
Generic solutions that ignore your people's natural talents
Your campus needs something different. Something that transforms good intentions into real belonging.
The Value of Belonging on Your Campus
Diverse campuses need distinct solutions that prioritize belonging and growth for everyone.
Marginalized students feel less as though they matter to the institution compared with non-marginalized peers.
Campuses that fail to address systemic inequalities ultimately see less connection to the institution from marginalized students, and ultimately a failure to persist.
Institutions that prioritize belonging attract the most brilliant students...and retain them!
Most DEI trainings only focus on defining terms, and providing historical context while appealing to the need for change.

What Are Others saying?
“As a professional development practitioner, I have spent years searching ways to help Classified professionals, faculty and administrators at our college learn how they each can grow individually in their understanding of key principles that drive equity and inclusion on our campus. One-time lectures and workshops don't allow for deep learning, reflection, conversation and personal connection. Equity Amplifiers gave our employees a chance to do all of this over a series of gatherings with their cohort expertly led by Shanell. Leveraging a strengths-based perspective truly empowered each person to drive change using their natural talents and from where they were in the organization. It was a transformational learning experience unlike anything we had tried.
From an implementation perspective, Equity Amplifier was a busy, under-resourced person's dream. The marketing materials, emails, workbooks and assessments were all ready to go - and professional.”
